Registration for the MediaEval 2012 Workshop is open at http://www.aanmelder.nl/mediaeval2012workshop
The early registration fee is 190 Euros (deadline for early registration now extended to 15 September 2012).
The MediaEval workshop will be held Thursday & Friday, 4 & 5 October 2012 at Santa Croce in Fossabanda in Pisa Italy, a medieval convent that has been converted into a hotel.
The purpose of the workshop is to present and discuss the results from MediaEval 2012 tasks.
The workshop will include a "Practioners" poster session in which projects, research sites and industry groups that are involved with MediaEval-related tasks or technology present and overview of their work and their ideas and make suggestions for tasks to offer in MediaEval 2013.
The workshop fee is €215. (Participants registering before 15 September 2012 will receive a €25 discount.) If you did not participate in MediaEval 2012, you are still welcome to register for and attend the workshop if you are interested in getting involved in future years.
Please note that Pisa is about an hour by train away from Firenze. On the Sunday following the MediaEval 2012 Workshop (7 October), the 12th European Conference on Computer Vision starts in Firenze.
