The MediaEval 2012 season has kicked off with the MediaEval 2012 survey. The survey is used to decide the tasks that will be offered in MediaEval 2012. Anyone who is interested in MediaEval 2012 should fill out the survey.

Preliminary 2012 schedule
mid February: MediaEval 2012 tasks announced
1 March: MediaEval 2012 sign up opens
30 April: Last day for regular sign up (late sign-up will stay open a bit longer)
1 May: First possible day for data release
1 June: Last possible day for dev data release
1 July: Last possible day for test data release
Begin/mid September: Run submission deadline
17 September: Release of results
28 September: Two-page working notes papers due
Beginning of October: MediaEval 2012 Workshop

The exact dates of the data releases will be specified by the organizers of each task and may vary from task to task. We will be requiring however, that the development data be released at the latest by 1 June and the test data be released at the latest by 1 July.

Please note than in 2012 the workshop will be one month later than in 2011. This means that the task submission deadline will fall during the first or second week of September, which has been requested by some participants.
