The MediaEval 2012 survey results have been processed and the decisions have been made. MediaEval will offer the following tasks in 2012: Placing, Social Event Detection, Spoken Web Search, Tagging, Violent Scenes Detection and Visual Privacy. Descriptions of these tasks will be published soon and sign-up will open 1 March. Additionally, several smaller, by-invitation-only "Brave New Tasks" will be run in 2012 including User Account Matching and Search and Hyperlinking.
