What is MediaEval?
MediaEval is an umbrella benchmarking initiative that is dedicated to innovation and evaluation in multimedia access and retrieval. Our goal is to support research that will improve access to video and other multimedia content. MediaEval was launched in 2009 by the PetaMedia Network of Excellence. It is a continuation (and expansion) of VideoCLEF, which ran as a track in the CLEF Campaign (2008-2009).
Multimedia Mediaeval is coordinated by Martha Larson at Delft University of Technology and Gareth Jones at Dublin City University.
Task coordinators for 2010 are:
Roeland Ordelman (University of Twente and Netherlands Institute for Sound & Vision, a.k.a. Beeld & Geluid)
Pavel Serdyukov (Delft University of Technology)
Vanessa Murdock (Yahoo! Research)
Mohammad Soleyman (University of Geneva)
